MAKE YOUR HOME WELCOMING

First Impressions are lasting! Remember, when that Buyer comes to look at your house, the first thing they will see is your home's front door! It should be welcoming and clean and brightly lit at night. Remove ice and snow from the walks and steps.

Worn woodwork, chipped paint will reduce the appeal of your home. An investment in new paint, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms can pay dividends.

Let the Sun Shine In! Open those drapes and curtains ....dark and dreary rooms just do not appeal to most Buyers. Keep lamps on.

Fix that leaky faucet! Dripping water discolors sinks and suggests faulty or worn out plumbing.

Take a few minutes to check that your doors don't stick or have loose knobs. Do the same for your windows and cabinet drawers. Get all of those minor flaws fixed. Keep those stairways clean and uncluttered; this will avoid injuries around your home.

We all like Big Closets and when neat and well organized, closets show that your home has ample closet space.

Be absent during showings, Buyers can relax and soak up the spirit of your home. You will never be tempted to disclose sensitive personal information such as why you are moving .If you have to stay home due to an emergency, consider saying "NO" to the listing broker's appointment secretary.
